Hey folks. So, I’m tired of hunting around for a Dicks coupon everytime I need to re-grip my tennis racket, so I thought we should start this one. Hopefully you more experienced members can help make sure this gets done the right way. Anyways, on to the fun.
Dicks policies:
The B&M will PM printed advertisements…but not a printout of a website. I live in cheeseland, and so far they have let me PM stores that aren’t local to my area or even state, but are known competitors. PM is easy, and can be done at any register, no mgr override is required. Get creative with your printed ads…I’ve had no trouble getting them to PM ads in the back of TENNIS magazine (golfsmith, Holabird, Midwest Sports advertise there). Try a store’s catalog…golfsmith started putting out a tennis catalog recently…
I asked my favorite CSR in store if they accept competitors coupons, and she said no. I heard that someone did, though YMMV on that. Also, my favorite CSR is really great about stacking my coupons and whatnot, so I asked if there was a comment card system, and there wasn’t..but she was able to point out her manager so that I could tell them what a faboulous employee she is. I figure since she scratches my back, I’d do hers ![]()
ScoreCard Rewards. So if you sign up for the ScoreCard Rewards program, you get 1 point per $ spent in store. If you give them your email addy you get 100 bonus points and they will start sending you emails with coupons (usually 10 off 50) and sometimes coupons have bonus points attached
. You dont have to be a scorecard member to use the coupons, but why not? Once you reach 300 points, they send you a $10 rewards certificate that is good for the next few months. The scorecard website says they dont accept expired certificates…so YMMV on using those. Also, you must start from 0 points every Feb 1. I joined this year on 1/28 and I called in to see if they would let me keep my points, since I just joined and didn’t realize they would clean me out a couple of days later…they said sure, they would give me a one time courtesy extension. You can add points to your account later on if you forgot your card, by typing in the receipt info on the website. Some receipts offer a $10 off $50 for completing an online survey within 48 hrs of purchase. Some B&M items have bonus points attached to them, and they are listed in red on the weekly circular.
I called DicksSportingGoods online and they do not PM anyone
! They have finally started allowing Scorecard points to be earned online, HOWEVER if you use the google checkout, there will be NO points for you! There is
NO shop online for instore pickup…and have you noticed that their online store looks curiously like the one for Sports Authority
?
HOWEVER you can get miles/points/rewards for buying yourself an emailable GC @ GiftCertificates.com (only for the online store not B&M), and then get miles/points/FatCash for shopping @ dicks online (Watch out for shipping, yikes!
).
There are coupons for ‘coaches’ (hmmm, I wonder if on-court coaching of your doubles partner counts…), teachers (as in those who teach school), people who play on a team, and people who play a specific sport. Ask your friendly CSR in-store to hook you up. Depending on the page you are requesting, you may have to fill out a form to get them. There was a sign when i entered the store that listed the sports and showed a sample page of coupons….also when i was in the tennis section they had small (like really small) placards saying to ask at the desk for the tennis coupons for players and pros/coaches. That elusive $10 off $25 is available at the desk for ‘coaches’. You have to fill out a form to get a sheet that contains 2 coupons.
Edited to reflect change in online Scorecard policy.
