I was browsing CC’s website and noticed that they have all Polk car speakers for 25% off. This is only supposed to be the sale if you purchase a receiver for $99 or more (at least thats the deal in-store). Anyways, in addition to this they also have a Buy 1, Get 1 half-off sale going for Polks. I ended up with a set of db6501 components (reg $199) and db651 speakers (reg $99) for $168.75 + tax. It looks like they give you the 25% off price first and then deduct another 25% from each pair for buying 2 sets. I figured it would be computed as 50% off the lowest price, but they split that discount between both sets. It doesn’t include the harnesses or adapters like Crutchfield, but I plan on running an amp and I have no problem w/ drilling new holes for free. Harnesses are cheap anyways…less than $10 if you don’t feel like cutting and splicing wires.

Total discount comes out to ~44%, which is pretty good for the most current model from an authorized retailer. Too bad no CC coupons work on Polk Audio.

EDIT: I think CC’s math is wrong, since their website states 50% off a second pair, but it gave me 25% off each pair, in addition to the online 25% off sale. Oh well, no complaints here…I already picked up my order at lunch!

Original price in June’s Costco Passport coupon book was $94.99+tax after coupon.

The in-store price at the E. Plano, TX Costco is $109.99, so it ended up $89.99+tax out the door.

I assume the price reduction is national, but I’m not sure.
